We made it home safe and sound - pulled into the border around 9:30 Sat. night - no problems with customs. We are still oohing and awwing over the trailer. I did talk to my brother about the cardinal and the jayco, he still doesn't know if they are going to bother this year as it is nearly impossible to find a campsite now!!! Our provincial campgrounds are very busy with online reservations bookings starting on the 15th of April. But he will call if they do decide on buying.

Because we live in the country we do not get much traffic. So we brought our older used motor home to Nobles RV Center in hopes we could sell it. They were very nice to deal with and explained the process to us so we thought we would give it a try.
Someone stopped in and had a question for us about our motor home, so the salesman gave us a call and we talked to the interested party. They made an offer on the motor home and Nobles took care of the rest.
They sold our motor home in just two weeks. We were very satisfied working with them.

We have the [Sundance XLT] 287RL and like the trailer because I can still get to the fridge and bathroom with the slide in. Actually you can get to the back of the trailer with slide in also. My wife and I are very pleased with the quality of the trailer and Noble RV has really taken care of us. Our furnace started getting very loud so we brought the trailer in for service. It was a week before a three day weekend and they turned it around the next day. They found a plastic wrapper floating around in the fan. When we arrived to hook up I didn't even have to get out of the truck to hook up. They met me in truck and hooked the unit up for me. This has been a great purchase and I feel it has been money well spent compared to other trailers and dealerships.

I stopped to see you last Friday, but you were busy. However, I did have an experience during my visit that I wanted to share.
As I was leaving, I noticed I had a flat tire on my pickup. So I went back inside and asked Ted Rosenbeck if I could borrow a floor jack and tire iron.
Ted said "you bethca" and took me out to Jim Lindall. Jim not only rounded up a floor jack and wrench, but came out and took my tire off in the sleet. It was miserable cold and windy if you remember what Friday was like. If not for Jim & Ted, I would have had to find my jack, figure out how to remove the hubcap and drop the spare tire. I'd probably have been there in the cold for an hour or more.
Jim asked how I was going to get into town to get the tire fixed. I told him I was going to call my wife and have her come and get me. He said just a minute. Within seconds around he came with his car, put the tire in his trunk, handed me his keys, and said "See ya." When I got back I asked what I owed him and he said "Nothing." Within an hour I was on my way.
As business people we both know that having customers that are Raving Fans is the key to long term success. I think Ted and Jim exemplify the kind of customer service that exceeds any expectations. At least they did mine and I'm seldom impressed with the quality of customer service we've grown to accept.
I wanted to say thank you and tell you what great guys Ted and Jim are. I am now a Ted & Jim Raving Fan.
You've got a lot to be proud of as the Minneapolis Tribune recently said. One of the things they didn't say is that another thing you've done right is hire the right people.

Management and Service Department,
During our recent trip back to Indiana to visit our relatives and
friends, we had the pleasure of meeting some of your employees due to
some wind damage to our 2002 Itasca Spirit motor home.
On
the 4th day of a planned 30 day trip, we had the misfortune of losing a
3 ft by 2 ft section of outer skin on the overhead section of our motor
home. During a visit to your service department to inquire about the
extent of the damage and schedule the necessary repair, I was met by,
not just one, but at least 4 members of your service department to
evaluate the situation. Even though that visit was midday and your
service bays were all filled with scheduled service appointments, your
team of experts promptly pulled my motor home into the service area and
began the necessary repair. An exact time needed for the repair was
unknown until further examination and your service professionals were
upfront with me on that estimate. While the repair was underway, one of
your employees even took the time to provide me a ride back to the
motel where my wife and I were staying. I was prepared to begin
altering our trip schedule anticipating an extended time period to
accomplish the repair but that was not necessary because I was notified
later that afternoon that the repair would be finished by close of
business that same day. When notified that the repair was finished, the
same employee returned to the motel to provide me a ride back to your
establishment to pay for the repair and pickup our motor home.
In
5 years of motor home travels, I've never had to have motor home
repairs during a trip, so naturally I expected the worst, but that
proved not to be the case as we were able to resume our trip the next
day as scheduled and continued on to upstate Minnesota, then on to our
destination of Indiana. You will be glad to know that we did not
experience any further damage to the repaired area (even driving
through torrential rainfall from the remnant's of the hurricane as we
drove through the Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri area) during
the remaining 2500 mile trip.
We have since returned to our
Montana home and as with every trip, it takes awhile to go through the
accumulated mail, catch up on yard work, and return to our "before
trip" daily routine. As I balanced financial statements with receipts
and cleared the motor home of items accumulated throughout the trip in
preparation for Winter storage, certain flashbacks (both positive and
negative) of our trip caused me to reflect back on our 30 day trip.
Without a doubt, the service we received at your establishment ranked
as the most positive aspect of our trip since the incident that brought
us to your establishment occurred so soon after the start of our trip.
Since we regularly pass through the Owatonna, Minnesota area to visit
friends in upstate Minnesota, you can bet that should we need any
service and/or products for our motor home, we will most certainly stop
in at your place for another dose of "top notch" professional service
provided by your excellent team with proven dedication to the
Recreation Vehicle business.
Please pass on to your entire staff
a big thank you for us and accept this letter and gift box as a small
token of our appreciation for making our trip through your neck of the
woods such a pleasant experience.

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions, our local dealer is more than happy to let you hang around and check things out for as long as you need to feel comfortable with your purchase, we witnessed this when we went to look at a another model that had just been delivered and the owners were giving it a detailed going over, the set up crew actually hauled it into the bay and fixed the small concerns as the folks brought them up. Now, that's service!
We are not new to RV ownership and realize that a few things can be expected to need tweaking in a rig that is literally a complete house and garage on wheels. The difference with Heartland and our local dealer, Noble RV, is that they are there for you, and the sale is just the beginning of a long and happy relationship, not the end.
We searched far and wide for more than two years since we travel the country, and researched every Toy Hauler out there. We can find no better build, nor better service than Heartland. We are amazed at the no pressure sales, and the extra mile taken to get your needs met the first time. If it sounds like high praise, it's because they earned it.
Heartland has found the dealers who care and has entrusted their line to them. We haven't had a bad experience yet with a Heartland dealership, even when we asked the most annoying and tedious questions, via phone, email and in person. I asked stupid questions and delayed committing to any deal on purpose! I wanted to find out if they have the patience to deal with me now, cuz if they don't, they won't have the time when I have a problem!
Try visiting over 50 RV dealerships in two years and see for yourself what's out there. We had many instances of "Buy this one, (even if it doesn't meet our needs), or we can't be wasting time on you" or "We need you to put something down on this today, we have another buyer coming in tomorrow so you'll miss your chance". I can't believe that kind of attitude in this economy! I worked in sales and marketing for over a decade, I wouldn't sell a toilet brush with these lines.....so amaturish and unprofessional.
I won't even get into the way most dealerships treat women, it's like you're invisible! they only talk to the man and when they do say something to you its about the color scheme or how nice the microwave is, like I've never seen one before! Heartland is the ONLY Toy hauler line that actually built a unit with a woman and family in mind. That's why they are prospering, they see the big picture and women are in it. (not just draping around in a bikini ad with a beer in her hand, although, I must admit I do plan on relaxing in my one piece with an iced tea once we get our rig set up in Florida).
Say what you will, I will order from Heartland because they have already proven themselves to me, long before we signed and drove away. This company has got it right.
